For sale is a lovely hand painted early tile from the Art Deco era from Carter & Co Ltd, Poole Pottery circa 1920/30s.
- This tile is one of the ones designed by Edward Bawsden as part of the 'Sporting Chase' leisure pursuits series and is of a red coated fox huntsman clearing a fence in a charming naive folk form
- This is from a scare early series of tiles and in good solid condition with fine feint crazing.
- The tile is marked Carter England to the reverse as shown in the images
- The tile is 5" by 5" inches.
Ready for further decorative purpose, the tile collector or just because of the beautiful naive hand painted folk art feel to the design.
