For sale is a rare early Liberty & Co, hand wrought, large pewter vase attributed to Archibald Knox.

A distinctive Arts & Crafts centrepiece, dated to c1903 from the early punch mark number of 0167 referenced by the literature on Liberty & Co Tudric / Cymric handicraft production in the early 1900s.

Iconic Arts & Crafts design of baluster form utilising three inverted arrowhead upright handles joining a wide lipped vase rim.

Its main function as a vase or wine cooler / ice bucket with a stable base.

Pewterbark textured pewter to the main form of the vase, raised on a stepped, polished and hammered foot.

Design aesthetic conforms to the Archibold Knox pieces that clearly stand out in the majority of the Tudric and Cymric ranges of Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau pewter and silverware sold by Liberty & Co.
