For sale is a beautifully elegant Stork sculpture, carved in oak standing on a tiered base a design prevalent in the Art Deco period,

- The Stork is pointing to the sky in a head back display, the sculpture is signed by A Borel on the base in a manner evocative of the style and period.
- The stork is a prominent animal sculpture in the Art Deco period for metalwork sculptures and bookends in particular. The birds elegant proportions, long legs and bill add to the sense of elegance and the aesthetic of the time.
- The stork is carefully carved with adzed/chisel marks to the area between the Storks long legs. The wings are neatly carved and the overall patina and wear to the art woodwork provides for a lovely rich colour.

The stork provides a great decorative sculpture and at around 90 years of age remains in good condition.
