For sale are a large pair of Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period Northern European nightlights or wall mounted candle sconces.
- The large oval pair are beautifully decorated with three moths in flight per piece attracted to the nightlight/candle when mounted in the gothic-esque candle holder, above a stylised pine cone and branch.
- The candle holders are secured with some metal punch rivets to the brackets made of a folded section of copper.
- Each sconce has a small metal loop to the rear for hanging and they are in good used antique condition, the copper is uncleaned and has a lovely dark rich patina.
An attractive and decorative pair in a great large size with characterful design motifs, ready to be hung on the wall.
