For sale is a beautiful Arts & Crafts copper pen / card / desk tray.
- The copper desk tray has a lovely symmetrical repoussé pattern worked into the base of the tray.
- The pattern is a Celtic style rope knot-work inter-locking style used in the, and is raised from hand beaten craft metalwork to the rear. The background is decorated with floral designs.
- The corners of the desk tray are pinched and the edge of the tray is folded over, making the pleasing eared or lobed corners to the tray.
- There is no makers mark to the front or rear as far as we can discern, but the style is clear and prominent in this era. Thought to be from the Yattendon school. W&W have other Arts & Crafts metalwork items for sale of which we are great fans.
