- Softwood and birch banded / staved wall hanging salt / candle box in the vernacular Scottish manner.
- Decorative hanging with attractive / decorative curved construction and design. Made up of alternating bands of darker and lighter wood. A stain and varnish throughout and looks to have had some form of lid as a salt box at some point in the last circa 175-200 years.
- The wall hanging box / pocket is of great utility for utensils, candles or spoons.
