For sale is a pair of beautifully simple Victorian Glasgow pattern side chairs.

- Birch with softwood seat stained to simulate rich mahogany.
- Attractive and decorative central propeller-shaped cross splat, with a turned / precise roundel to the centre.
- The seat is softwood and dyked with an attractive angle to the corner of each front leg.
- The front legs are tapered in the Scottish manner to their inner and rear surfaces.
- The chair has lovely wear and patina throughout the contact points from its circa 140 years and remains very robust a perfectly ready for further service.
- The front and rear stretchers are raised in contrast to the side stretchers.

Ready for further decorative utility in a new home as side chairs, kitchen chairs, bedside tables or decoration.
