For sale is a Scottish vernacular creepie / stool in a dark worn stain from the early 20th Century.
- The large sized creepie, five boarded stool is in good solid antique condition with a lovely worn stain and thick boarded construction built in a robust manner
- It has a central circular finger cut hole to aid lifting / moving
- The creepie has a v-shaped decorative arch in each of the two-leg panels, one characteristic of Scottish vernacular 'Creepie' stools
- Age-related wear and marks but nothing to effect the solid honest utility of the creepie
These Scottish vernacular stools were of great utility in rural homes for seating by the fire, as a candle stand, small table or ad-hoc workbench. They are particularly practical and make a great chair-side companion.
Available for a new home for another 100+ years of decorative utility
