For sale is a highly decorative free-standing bamboo magazine rack from the late 19th Century.

- Lovely simple design, 2 dividers / compartments and carry handle.

- The base to the magazine rack has a woven grass/matting decorative cover and is backed by solid wood. The magazine rack is very light and mobile via the handle and was intended to be moved around the room/conservatory in the Victorian period for ease of use with newspapers and magazines available from it.

-The legs are curved outward at the base for additional stability and the six uprights are capped with white metalwork, patterned as decoration.

- The rack remains solid, and has some lovely well crafted elements to it that are an indication of good quality and this is backed up by the fact that it remains usable and beautiful after circa 140 years.
