For sale from W & W antiques is a strikingly designed 19th century glass and silver plate whisky noggin in the distinctive style of Christopher Dresser from the late 19th Century.

- The Victorian era ribbed glass whisky noggin is in a baluster form, with ovoid body and provides excellent grip with no chips, cracks or marks.
- The highly distinctive angular handle is in good condition and provides the striking design basis for this item balanced by the bird beaked jug for poring.
- All metal work in silver plate, with an attractive and decorative thumb lifter in the form of a five feathered crown as shown in the photographs.
- The hinge to the lid works well and with the thumb lifter functions for pouring whisky.
- The silver plate has some wear to the lid top as shown in the photographs due to its age at circa 135 years of age and a little to the corner of the handle.
- This does not detract from the very pleasing design made famous by Christopher Dresser in particular the balance of the angular handle and the bird-beaked spout to the jug, the overall form of the little whisky noggin just works well. A rare, distinctive and charming little item.
- ** please note: The single malt and dram glass are not included in the price, just for context and scale, we will be using them both!
