A beautiful pair of Arts & Crafts hand beaten copper & brass trumpet vases.

- This stylish pair of English art metalware vases are thought to be from Beldray (Bradley & Co - Mount Pleasant, Bilston, Wolverhampton), due to the characteristic combination of copper and brass design, size and age. In particular, with a similar brass footing and lip/rim to vases in their Art Nouveau range of handled vases (which are more prevalent). Beldray is based on an anagram of their company name Bradley and figuratively a bell and dray (i.e. lorry/truck).
- Beldray made copper and brass art metal from 1903 until circa the start of the First World War in 1914.
- The vases are predominantly smooth copper with a hand beaten section of design in the upper section of the trumpet close to the rim, contained within triple engraved lines.
- Both the foot and rim are brass and the base has green baize as shown in the photographs.
