For sale is an attractive small Scottish spongeware vase from Methvens pottery, Kirkcaldy, East Scotland.

- A sponge printed blue band between yellow lines at the rim as used on 'Airlie Ware' from circa 1870 onwards to c.1910/20.
- Below this pattern are blue sponged flowers with green leaves / foliage, black stems and red flares between.
- In good solid condition with age-related wear, two small hairlines close to the rim/neck.
- Stamped to the base with the black Methvens/Kirkcaldy/Scotland pottery mark.
