For sale is a simple and beautiful Georgian blacksmith made flat iron rest from the 18th Century c.1750-1800.

- The beautiful little piece of folk art-metalwork was hand made by a blacksmith with skill and care. 
- For such a simple object the wrought iron flat iron stand has some lovely artistic features such as the decorative handle and hook for wall hanging, a lovely central diamond and eight sinuous scrolls extending from a line continued from the handle.  The stand has a broad outer edge and sits on three neat little feet. In great solid antique condition for c.230+ years of age.
- The rest is from the Brecon area of South Wales and is a beautiful piece of decorative folk art with artistic design and simple line.
